Your role

We are looking for a stellar Store Manager. You thrive working alongside a team to deliver the best possible coffee experience in our first 2 Wakuli stores in Rotterdam. You will work closely together with the store management team colleague(s), Wakuli's Brand, Operations and Product teams to bring Wakuli's promise of accessible specialty coffee to the streets.

You are a proven people person who takes pride in giving amazing service experiences and influencing your team to do the same. Barista knowledge and retention are what you strive for, and you will co-drive Wakuli's Barista Academy.

You are customer-centric and believe in impact products with flawless execution, making every effort to give your customers exactly what they need. You excel in fast-paced environments and enjoy an inclusive, collaborative workplace, where your voice genuinely counts.

You will lead individual, team and location initiatives to drive sales and business performance. There will be a myriad of growth opportunities, you only need to be ready to take them!

What you'll own:

• The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of up to three store locations, while reporting to the Retail Operations Manager. This role requires the store manager to work at least a shift in each location weekly, ensuring consistent management presence and direct engagement with each store's staff and operations.

• Streamline and optimise fulfilment, stock keeping and supplier relations of local store products in line with our Distribution Center and local suppliers

• Create and communicate the store schedules to all employees, optimise scheduling to fit store needs

• Train new employees to succeed at Wakuli, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipes and processes and that they are able to tell why we do what we do, are upbeat and vibes are positive
  

• Positive and solution-focused handling of any minor customer issue, with a good observing and empathic view towards our customers

• At a store level, lead all initiatives with the product and brand teams to increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability with a neighborhood focus.

• Maintain operational excellence and ensure all stores are following all Wakuli Standard Operating Procedures, including following proper delivery receiving, trash removal, and wastage recording, staff policies, and that any store issues are reported to HQ.
  
  What you'll bring:
  

• 2+ years experience in a HoReCA, customer service or retail leadership position

• Fluency in English and preferably Dutch

• Love for coffee and the retail- and service industry

• Strong knowledge of, or willingness to learn quickly about specialty coffee

• Strong decision-making and multi-tasking skills

• Growth mindset

• Strong interpersonal communication and management skills

• Minimum of 32 hours of availability per week, including weekends.
